I thought the workshop was well-run and was as applicable to a total novice like myself as it would be to someone that has been in photography for years. The most useful part was the lecture on composition and photography basics. You did a good job on explaining the fundamentals of great photography.

I really enjoyed the workshop and learnt a lot about the different functions of my camera and how to use them.

It was a nice way to spend a Sunday meeting new people and getting more acquainted with my camera. The most useful part of the workshop for me was the feedback on shooting composition and layout.

Overall, I enjoyed the workshop from the very beginning to the end. The workshop was perfect for beginners like me who recently purchased a SLR but had no idea how to make use of it at all. Peter did a great job understanding our needs and problems. After attending the workshop I feel like I have a much better understanding of my camera and its capabilities. The session on Camera modes and the art of shutter speed and aperture was most helpful for me. Before, I would rely on the camera to create images using the preset modes on my camera. But now after attending Peter’s workshop I am able to branch off from the presets and use my own sense of shutter speed and aperture to create images the way I really want them to turn out. Not only did the workshop was great covering the basics, the feedback we got from Peter after our shooting sessions in the hutong was great. Peter took his time and went over each and every single photo that the students took.

It was really great! It did help me a lot to refresh lot of concepts and put them into practice. I found very useful to share photos with others and receive Peter’s advice and criticism of them. It was very useful how we can correct some pictures with Lightroom, I didn’t know that.
